Luna Rossa, the red moon, is WineTime's cocktail for Halloween night. It takes the idea of the Spritz and the Sbagliato, a bitter lengthened with something sparkling, and swaps the Prosecco for a lightly sweet, sparkling Lambrusco.
The result is deep ruby, almost black in the glass, with bitter orange and rhubarb from the bitter and ripe red berries from the Lambrusco. Two ingredients, a lot of ice, and it is ready in a minute.
What you need from our shop
- Bitter – Ciemme Liquori: an Italian bitter from Gorizia with rhubarb, gentian and orange.
- Lambrusco Grasparossa Amabile "Bocciolo", Medici Ermete: its gentle sweetness balances the bitter. For a drier drink use Lambrusco Secco "Concerto".
Serve it with the risotto with pumpkin and sausage or with salty snacks. Enjoy responsibly.
