Frescobaldi is one of the oldest wine families in Italy, with a history in Florence going back to the early 1300s and around thirty generations of winemaking. The family has supplied wine to the Florentine court and is said to have been patrons of artists such as Michelangelo and Donatello. Today it is led by Lamberto Frescobaldi and relatives.

Its estates are spread through Tuscany: Nipozzano and Pomino in the Chianti Rufina area, Castelgiocondo and Campo ai Sassi in Montalcino, and Ornellaia and Masseto in Bolgheri, among others. The group covers elegant Chianti Rufina, Brunello, Bolgheri and Super Tuscan reds, along with sparkling wine and white wine from Pomino.
