Tasting notes

Vibrant ruby red. Sour cherry, red and black berries and floral notes on the nose, with black pepper and clove. Smooth and fresh on the palate, with tannins that soften with time.

About this wine

Tenuta Perano is Frescobaldi's estate in Chianti Classico, with vineyards at around 500 metres. Its Chianti Classico DOCG is made from Sangiovese with complementary varieties.

The grapes are picked by hand and ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel, with gentle pump-overs during maceration. The wine then matures about 12 months in barriques and steel before further ageing in bottle. This listing is the 2020 vintage.
