About this wine

The Etna Rosso of Tenuta delle Terre Nere is made almost entirely from Nerello Mascalese with a little Nerello Cappuccio, from vines 6 to 50 years old in the townships of Castiglione di Sicilia and Randazzo, on the volcanic soils of Etna's north side.

The grapes macerate until the end of fermentation, and the wine ages in wood and is bottled about a year after the harvest: fresh and fragrant when young, it gains complexity with age. This listing is the 2018 vintage.
