Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow with delicate green hues. Intense and persistent on the nose, fruity and floral. Ample and full-bodied on the palate, with flint, a finish of almond and walnut and a surprising freshness.

About this wine

Gavi dei Gavi Etichetta Nera is La Scolca's flagship: a Gavi DOCG from 100% Cortese grown on vines more than sixty years old, whose roots reach deep into the soil.

The grapes are vinified cold, off the skins, and the wine ages about six months on its lees in steel tanks until bottling, which gives it its body and length. This listing is the 2021 vintage.
