Tasting notes

Pale lemon colour. Fresh aromas of citrus, green apple and white peach. Juicy and fresh on the palate, with lively Riesling acidity, a fine mineral touch and a crisp, dry finish. Best served at 10–12°C. Ideal with grilled fish, seafood, sushi and light starters, or on its own as an aperitif.

About this wine

Weingut George is a family estate in Geisenheim, in the heart of Germany's Rheingau, now run by the second generation, Jens and Julius Wagenitz.

This dry Riesling comes from the Geisenheimer Kläuserweg vineyard. It is juicy and fresh, with bright fruit carried by the lively acidity typical of Rheingau Riesling, and a clean, dry finish. The wine was awarded Gold at the Frankfurt Wine Trophy. Alcohol is 12%.
