Tasting notes

Light amber. Melba peach, wild herbs, honey and eucalyptus on the nose, with linden blossom, beeswax and green tea. Full-bodied, creamy, saline and persistent on the palate.

About this wine

Skerk's Vitovska is made from the native white grape of the Karst, grown at Ograde, on the strip of land between Italy and Slovenia, with organic farming and only a little copper and sulphur in the vineyard.

The grapes ferment spontaneously in wooden barrels and macerate on their skins, which gives the wine its amber tint; it then ages about a year in large oak casks and is bottled without clarification or filtration. This listing is the 2018 vintage.
