🎃 A Red Night
The pumpkins are carved, the candles are lit.
All that is left is choosing the wine.
Halloween at home is celebrated at the table: a pumpkin risotto, something on the grill, friends and candlelight. For this night I picked four Italian reds from our cellar, from a light, gently sweet Lambrusco to a Tuscan Riserva, and three easy cocktails in the colours of the evening.
Four reds for Halloween
Three Halloween cocktails
1 · Luna Rossa (Red Moon)
Fill a wine glass with ice, pour 4 cl Bitter Ciemme and top with 10 cl cold Lambrusco Bocciolo. Stir once and add an orange slice. Bitter, fruity and almost black in the glass.
2 · Mela Stregata (Bewitched Apple)
In a tumbler with ice, mix 3 cl Palmarè Caramelo, 2 cl Rhum Blanco Ciemme and 10 cl cloudy apple juice. Stir and finish with a pinch of cinnamon and a thin apple slice. It tastes like a caramel apple from the fair.
3 · Zucca di Fuoco (Fire Pumpkin)
Shake 4 cl Vodka Moscovia, 2 cl Triple Sec Orange and 8 cl orange juice with ice, strain into a glass and add 1 cl Bitter Ciemme on top: it sinks and paints the drink the colour of a lantern.
Each cocktail is light, about one glass of wine. Serve them with salty snacks, and make an alcohol-free version for guests who drive: apple juice with cinnamon, or orange juice with a splash of soda.
To eat
Our risotto with pumpkin and sausage is the dish of the night: golden like a lantern and perfect with the Barbera or a dry Lambrusco.
We sell alcohol only to people over 18. Enjoy responsibly.
