Tasting notes

Intense ripe red and black fruit, finely lifted by delicate toasty notes and a hint of menthol. Elegant tannins, good balance and a classic Pauillac structure built on Cabernet Sauvignon.

About this wine

Château Lynch-Moussas in Pauillac was created in the early 19th century from the division of the historic Lynch family estate and was ranked Fifth Growth in the famous 1855 Classification. The Castéja family acquired it in the early 20th century.

Vines averaging about 40 years grow on gravel rises. The blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot ferments for 15–20 days in temperature-controlled steel vats and ages 18 months in French oak, about 60% new.

Expect ripe red and black fruit, toasty notes, menthol and elegant tannins.
