Tasting notes

Deep ruby, with ripe dark fruit and red berries. The attack is quick and well structured, with integrated, persistent character, precise and refined tannins, and a remarkably long, fresh finish.

About this wine

Les Tourelles de Longueville is one of the two second wines of Château Pichon Baron, named after the emblematic towers of the château; from the 2023 vintage it is called Les Tourelles de Pichon Baron.

The grapes come mainly from the Sainte-Anne plot, planted largely with Merlot, giving the wine its distinctive character: 55% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, hand-picked and sorted.

After a cold soak, it ages 12–15 months in French oak barrels.
