Tasting notes

Deep amber. A rich, complex nose of dried fruit, honey, vanilla and toasted oak with the floral grape character of Red Misket beneath. The palate is round and deep, with warm spice, caramelised fruit and a very long, smooth finish shaped by more than six years in Bulgarian oak.

About this wine

Kulturna Special Reserve is a limited premium rakia from Karabunar Winery, produced from wine distillates of the Bulgarian grape variety Red Misket. It is a grape brandy in the great Bulgarian tradition, made with a collector's attention to detail.

The distillate matures for more than 6 years in barrels of Bulgarian oak, which gives it richness, depth and complexity. It is bottled in an elegant crystal decanter with its own individual character, in a 700 ml format.

Made for connoisseurs, as a gift or for slow tasting in a wide glass, much like a cognac or a single malt whisky.
