Tasting notes

Ruby red. Aromas of violet, raspberry, blackcurrant and green pepper, with spice from oak. Medium-bodied, with fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins and a spicy, herbal finish.

About this wine

Cabernet Franc is the parent of Cabernet Sauvignon and gives a lighter, more aromatic wine, with a clear note of green pepper, violet and raspberry above dark fruit.

The Motif Reserve series of the Bulgarian winery Via Verde adds oak ageing, which brings extra spice and structure to the variety's fragrance. A balanced, expressive red that pairs easily with many dishes.

Serve at 16–18 °C with white and red meat, mushrooms or stuffed peppers.
