Tasting notes

Deep ruby-garnet. Aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco and baking spice. Full-bodied and concentrated, with firm, well-knit tannins from long oak ageing and a long, spicy finish.

About this wine

Premium Reserve is the summit of Villa Melnik's AplauZ series: its wines spend the longest time in oak and are made only in good years. The estate lies in the Struma Valley, the warmest wine area in Bulgaria.

This Cabernet Sauvignon offers blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco and spice over firm, well-structured tannins. A powerful, classic red with the concentration that the southern sun brings.

Serve at 16–18 °C, opened an hour ahead, with red meat.
