Tasting notes

Golden colour with a fine, creamy mousse. After aeration the nose reveals black fruit and cherry. The palate is mature and rounded, with stewed-fruit flavours, generous body and good balance, finishing long and powerful.

Charles VII is the prestige range Canard-Duchêne created for its centenary, honouring the royal history of the Champagne region. The Blanc de Noirs is a white Champagne made from black grapes, led by Pinot Noir.

Golden with a fine mousse, it reveals black fruit and cherry once it has breathed, followed by a mature, rounded palate with notes of stewed fruit. Cellar master Laurent Fédou describes it as generous and powerful, yet well balanced.
