Tasting notes

Golden with bronze reflections and a fine bead. The nose is generous: honey, fruit jelly, quince, candied citrus, marzipan, blood orange and sweet spices with a hint of mint. The palate is rich and broad, with a velvety mousse and a long finish of candied citrus.

About this wine

The PN series of Bollinger is devoted entirely to Pinot Noir, the grape at the heart of the house style. The letters in each name indicate the leading village and the number the base vintage: PN AYC18 is built on the 2018 harvest, with grapes mainly from Aÿ, completed by Tauxières and Verzenay.

Reserve wines kept in magnums, the oldest dating from 2009, bring depth and complexity to the blend. The wine ages for twice the minimum period required by the appellation and is finished with a low dosage of 6 grams per litre.

Presented in a gift box, it is a rich, expressive Blanc de Noirs that shows a different facet of Bollinger with each edition.
