Tasting notes

Golden yellow with a persistent, fine mousse. Delicate aromas of yellow orchard fruit are joined by chestnut and hazelnut, the nuttiness that long cellar ageing brings. The palate is elegant and refined rather than assertive, with a measured, dry finish that stays clean and gently toasty.

About this wine

Nicolas Feuillatte has its base at Chouilly, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. The centre it grew out of was founded in 1972 and the Nicolas Feuillatte brand itself in 1976, which still makes it the youngest of the great Champagne houses.

Collection Vintage is the house's declared-year range, released only in seasons the cellar judges worth bottling on their own. Each vintage rests at least five years in the cellars before it is sold, and the producer describes the 2015 as a wine of considerable elegance rather than power.
