Tasting notes

Pale gold with a fine, persistent bead. The nose offers ripe yellow fruit such as peach, apricot and mirabelle plum, with delicate spice and toasty notes. The palate is textured and complex, with fresh acidity and a long finish closing on a light liquorice bitterness.

About this wine

The vintage Brut of Champagne Deutz, the historic house of Aÿ, is a gastronomic cuvée led by Grand Cru Pinot Noir. Extended ageing in the cellars of the house gives it texture and complexity.

The blend combines mainly Grand Cru Pinot Noir with Grand and Premier Cru Chardonnay and, depending on the year, Pinot Meunier, drawn from key terroirs of the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne. The wine ages for at least five years in the cellars after blending.

Generous and structured, the 2014 is a Champagne made for the table.
