Tasting notes

Straw yellow with golden glints, a fine perlage and a velvety, creamy mousse. The nose shows honey, banana, bread yeast and delicate vanilla. The palate is soft and fresh, with a long finish of tropical fruit and flowers.

About this wine

Mirabella is a family winery in Rodengo Saiano, in the heart of Franciacorta, led by oenologist Teresio Schiavi together with his sons Alessandro and Alberto. Its Satèn Millesimato has been produced since the 1996 vintage and is made only from wines of a single harvest.

The Chardonnay is picked by hand in the estate's own vineyards at Passirano and Paderno Franciacorta, where the vines average 28 years of age. Fermentation takes place 90% in concrete and 10% in barrique, and the wine then rests on its lees for at least 30 months before release as a Brut with less than 6 grams per litre of sugar.

Satèn's lower pressure gives it a particularly soft, creamy mousse.
