About this wine

Melnik 55 is a legendary Bulgarian red grape from the Melnik region in the south-west of the country. In its Exclusive Lot range, Zlaten Rozhen presents this variety with a long history and a unique character, from selected vineyards in Melnik's warm microclimate.

The wine has a deep ruby colour, a complex aromatic palette, a dense structure and rich tannins, with a harmonious mix of fruity and earthy notes. It has the potential to age for 10–15 years.

Serve at 16–18 °C with lamb, game or grilled meat.
