Tasting notes

Deep ruby-purple. Aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, vanilla and toasted oak. The palate is dense and rich, with a full structure, elegant tannins and a long, spicy finish from 12 months in French oak.

About this wine

Zlaten Rozhen is a winery in the Melnik area of south-western Bulgaria, and Exclusive Lot is its premium range. This Merlot is made from selected grapes and given extra depth by barrel maturation.

It spends 12 months in French oak barrels and a further 6 months in bottle before release. The result is a dense, rich red with deep flavours, a full structure and elegant tannins – a wine for special occasions and collectors.

Serve at 16–18 °C with red meat dishes and fine charcuterie.
