Tasting notes

Deep, dense ruby. Ripe plum, black cherry jam, sweet spice and a touch of cocoa on the nose. The palate is velvety and soft yet full-bodied and intense, with concentrated dark fruit, smooth tannins and a long, warm finish.

About this wine

Cantine San Marzano Primitivo di Manduria "Sessantanni" 2020 is one of the best-known reds of Puglia, here in a limited edition with a distinctive label. It comes from Cantine San Marzano, the cooperative founded in 1962 by nineteen winemakers in San Marzano di San Giuseppe.

Velvety and soft yet full-bodied and intense, it is a rich, generous Primitivo with 14.5% alcohol, now with several years of bottle maturity.

Serve at 16–18 °C with roast meats and cured meats.
