Tasting notes

Rich aromas of dark berries and plum with pleasant spicy notes. The palate is intense and juicy, with ripe dark fruit, a touch of pepper and harmonious, rounded tannins, finishing dry and satisfying.

About this wine

Tondoro is a red from Cantine San Marzano, the renowned winery of San Marzano di San Giuseppe in the province of Taranto, in southern Puglia. It blends the two great red grapes of the region: Negroamaro, with its dark fruit and freshness, and Primitivo, with its warmth and softness.

The 2024 is intense with spice notes, rich dark fruit aromas, pleasant spiciness and harmonious tannins. It is dry, with 12.5% alcohol, and has a gold medal from Gilbert & Gaillard.

Serve at 16–18 °C with hearty meat dishes.
