Tasting notes

Deep ruby. Dark berries and plum with peppery Syrah spice and a herbal Cabernet Franc lift, framed by oak. Medium to full body with firm tannins.

About this wine

Lovets (The Hunter) is a red blend of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Syrah from Magura, the winery founded in 1967 in Rabisha, north-west Bulgaria, and fully modernised since 2006.

Ageing and maturation take place in high-quality French, Bulgarian and American oak barrels, expressing the character of the Rabisha terroir. Serve at 16–18 °C with game, red meat or grilled dishes.
