Tasting notes

Bright straw-gold. Aromas of lime, white peach, green apple and a hint of petrol developing with age. The palate is taut and mineral, with vibrant acidity and a long, citrus-driven finish.

About this wine

First Vintage is a one-off series from Bononia Estate in north-western Bulgaria, celebrating the first harvest bottled at the estate's own winery. It brings together four wines from the 2019 vintage and will never be re-released.

Every bottle has a unique serial number and a hand-painted label depicting the vineyards and the winery. Only 1,500 bottles of each white were produced, so this Riesling is both a rarity and a wine built for a long life.

Serve at 8–10 °C with fish, shellfish, Asian dishes or fresh cheeses.
