Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow with green hints. Aromas of white peach, pear, chamomile and a hint of almond. The palate is harmonious and fruity, fresh and dry, with a gentle savoury note and a clean finish.

About this wine

Cantine San Silvestro is a family winery with more than 150 years of history, run today by Paolo and Guido Sartirano, the fourth generation, and regarded as one of Piedmont's renowned producers in the heart of the Barolo area.

Sabbie – "sands" – is its Roero Arneis, made from the white Arneis grape of the Roero hills, across the Tanaro river from the Langhe. The 2025 is harmonious and fruity, bone dry with only 2 g/l residual sugar and 12.5% alcohol.

Serve at 8–10 °C with appetisers, poultry and vegetable dishes.
