Tasting notes

Deep ruby. Ripe dark cherry, blackberry and plum with sweet spice. Full and warm on the palate, with ripe tannins and a spicy, fruity finish.

About this wine

Gramatik is the Rubin of Rupel, a winery with its own vineyards in Dolno Spanchevo, east of Petrich, facing the Rupel gorge of the Struma river.

The gorge forms a corridor for warm Aegean air, ideal for ripening Bulgaria's Rubin grape, a crossing of Nebbiolo and Syrah. The 2020 vintage offers dark fruit and spice. Serve at 16–18 °C with red meat or grilled dishes.
