Tasting notes

Pale straw. Aromas of lemon zest, white peach, green pear and white flowers, with herbal and saline hints. The medium-bodied palate is crisp, with citrus and orchard fruit, bright acidity and a mineral finish recalling sea spray.

About this wine

Castellani is a Tuscan wine family producing a wide range of wines from the hills and coast of Tuscany. Guadalmare is its Vermentino from coastal vineyards, where a warm Mediterranean climate is moderated by cooling sea breezes.

Made entirely from Vermentino, the grapes are de-stemmed and softly crushed, and the clear juice ferments in stainless steel at no more than 12 °C to preserve its aromatic freshness. Careful canopy management and controlled yields in the vineyard support the wine's purity.

Crisp, citrusy and lightly saline, it is a classic seaside white for summer lunches, seafood and simple Mediterranean cooking.
