How to serve it
Tasting notes
Golden straw colour. Citrus, white flowers, chalk and toasted notes on the nose. The palate is taut and deep, with fine bubbles, saline minerality and a long, precise, bone-dry finish.
About this wine
David Léclapart farms about three hectares in Trépail, a Premier Cru village on the Montagne de Reims. Raised among the vines and trained at the agrobiology school in Beaune, he works biodynamically and follows four principles: purity, energy, pleasure and ecology.
Around 90% of his vineyards are planted with Chardonnay and the rest with Pinot Noir. L'Apôtre is a Blanc de Blancs from Trépail's Premier Cru vineyards, and this bottle comes from the 2014 harvest (LV14).
Pure and finely chiselled, it is one of the most sought-after expressions of Chardonnay from the Montagne de Reims.
