Tasting notes

Golden yellow with a fine, gentle mousse. The nose is harmonious and layered: ripe yellow apple, dried fig, almond, honeycomb and toasted bread over a chalky base. The palate is complete and balanced, with creamy depth from the long lees ageing, lively acidity and a long, dry, nutty finish.

About this wine

Dégorgement Tardif (late disgorgement) is a special edition of the numbered 700-series cuvées of Jacquesson, the Champagne house of Dizy: part of the bottles stays in the cellar on the lees under natural cork for years after the standard release and is disgorged much later.

Cuvée 739 is built on the 2011 harvest. The late-disgorged version spent 96 months on the lees under cork and was disgorged in June 2020 with a minimal dosage of 0.75 g/l; the house describes it as balanced, harmonious and complete.

Only 14,574 bottles and 711 magnums were produced, making this one of the rarest expressions of the Jacquesson style.
