Tasting notes

Bright pink with golden hues and fine bubbles. Aromas of redcurrant, cherry, wild strawberry and gentle spice. The palate is structured, long and lively, with red berry fruit, a creamy mousse and a subtly tannic, savoury finish.

About this wine

Bollinger Rosé is the non-vintage rosé of the house of Aÿ, built on the same foundation as the Special Cuvée: 62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay and 14% Meunier, with more than 85% of the grapes from grand and premier cru vineyards.

The colour and the red-fruit character come from the addition of 5 to 6% of still red wine from Pinot Noir plots in Verzenay or Aÿ. Reserve wines, some kept in magnums for years, add depth, and the wine ages well beyond the appellation minimum before release.

Pinot Noir's dominance gives this rosé the structure and character typical of the Bollinger style.
