Tasting notes

Pale salmon with copper glints and a fine bead. Red berries, wild strawberry, blood orange, rose petal and a hint of spice on the nose. The palate is vinous and dry, with the structure of Pinot Noir, crisp acidity and a long, savoury, mineral finish.

About this wine

Terres Rouges is the rosé single-vineyard Champagne of Jacquesson, the house of Dizy, made only from Pinot Noir grown in a single plot in Dizy: 1.33 hectares with about 12,000 vines planted in 1993 and trained on the Cordon de Royat system.

The vineyard lies at the foot of a gentle east-facing slope, on deep, reddish-brown calcareous soil over chalky clay, which gives the wine its name. The 2013 harvest was late but of very high quality.

A rosé from a single year and a single parcel, produced in small quantities, it expresses the character of Pinot Noir from Dizy with depth and freshness.
