Tasting notes

Delicate pink with copper glints and a fine bead. Aromas of redcurrant and black fruits with citrus notes and a touch of brioche. The palate is very delicate, fresh and creamy, with silky texture, precise acidity and a lively, long finish.

About this wine

La Grande Année Rosé is the vintage rosé Champagne of Bollinger, the house of Aÿ. Its base is the La Grande Année 2012 blend from 21 crus, 67% Pinot Noir and 33% Chardonnay, fermented entirely in oak barrels.

To this the cellar master adds 5% of still red wine from Côte aux Enfants, the house's emblematic walled vineyard in Aÿ, which gives the wine its colour and a fine red-fruit backbone. The bottles then age under natural cork for more than twice the time required by the appellation, with hand riddling and disgorgement and a dosage of 8 grams per litre.

Presented in its gift box, it is a rosé of real gastronomic ambition.
