Tasting notes

Pale and bright with green-gold glints. The nose offers citrus, linden blossom, acacia and white peach. The palate is delicate and layered, with floral and lightly toasted notes, rich texture and a fresh, lingering finish.

About this wine

Château La Nerthe is one of the oldest estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, mentioned in the archives as early as 1560. Around 89 hectares of certified organic vines, averaging 40 years of age, surround the château, and a nearby natural spring brings warm days and cool nights. The grapes are picked by hand in the early morning.

This white blends 47% Roussanne, 38% Grenache Blanc, 13% Clairette and 2% Bourboulenc. The Roussanne rests about nine months on fine lees in barrels, one third new, while the other varieties stay on their lees in stainless steel, giving a layered wine that is rich yet fresh.
