Tasting notes

Pale yellow with light orange reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose is rich with citrus, pink grapefruit, wild strawberry, white flowers, lime, acacia honey and a hint of oregano. The palate is fresh, fruity and bone dry, with citrus tension and a long, mineral finish.

About this wine

Contadi Castaldi was founded in the late 1980s in Franciacorta, around an old brick kiln, the Fornace Biasca, acquired by Vittorio Moretti and his wife Mariella. Its name joins the historic "Contadi" land holdings with the "Castaldi", the stewards who once governed them. Today the estate counts about 160 hectares.

Pinònero Natura is a rare Franciacorta made from 100% Pinot Nero in the 2011 vintage and bottled without dosage. After 60 months on fine lees it shows great elegance and a pure, precise style.
