Tasting notes

Deep, brilliant gold with a fine bead. The nose offers ripe and candied fruit, roasted hazelnut and toasty notes from the long ageing. The palate is rich, complex and enveloping, with a creamy mousse, lively underlying freshness and a long, elegant finish.

About this wine

Cuvée William Deutz is the prestige cuvée of Champagne Deutz, the house founded in Aÿ in 1838. It was created in 1959 in honour of the founder, William Deutz, and remains the flagship wine of the house: a dense, complex Champagne for connoisseurs.

The blend is led by Grand Cru Pinot Noir, completed by Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, from the terroirs of Aÿ, Bouzy, Verzenay and the Côte des Blancs. The wine matures for around ten years in the historic cellars of the house before release.

The 2007 vintage shows the richness and length that define this exceptional cuvée.
