Tasting notes

Luminous deep gold with an ultra-fine mousse. The nose is complex, with candied citrus, toasted brioche, hazelnut, smoke and iodine. The palate is deep, intense and multi-layered, with vibrant energy and freshness carrying a very long, saline finish.

About this wine

Dom Pérignon makes only vintage Champagne, but some vintages are given a second life. The house believes that its wine matures in stages, or plénitudes, and the second of these is the moment when, after many years on the lees, the wine reveals a new burst of energy.

Plénitude 2 from the 2004 vintage is such a release: a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir aged on its lees far longer than the standard Vintage before disgorgement.
