Tasting notes

Bright golden yellow. The nose offers ripe white peach, citrus peel and acacia blossom with a touch of hazelnut from the barrel portion. The palate is generous and rounded, supported by fresh acidity and a chalky mineral thread, ending with a long, saline finish.

About this wine

Domaine des Malandes is a family estate in Chablis, whose first vintage dates back to 1949, that combines traditional winemaking with modern technique. It farms 29 hectares in the appellation, with vines aged 15 to 60 years.

Fourchaume is one of the most renowned Premier Cru vineyards of Chablis. The Chardonnay is fermented at a controlled 18 °C and goes through malolactic fermentation; 80% of the wine is vinified and aged in stainless steel and 20% in two-year-old barrels, which adds roundness without masking the fruit.

Generous and sunny in style, it offers white peach aromas and a fresh, mineral finish. The cuvée has earned 92 points from Vinous and 91 from James Suckling.
