Tasting notes

Pale straw with a fine, gentle mousse. Floral aromas with citrus and exotic fruit notes and Mediterranean nuances. The palate has a silky, velvety texture, a delicate saline touch and a fresh, elegant finish. Refined and very drinkable.

About this wine

Antica Fratta is a historic winery in Monticelli Brusati, in the heart of Franciacorta, whose underground galleries were carved into the rock in 1850.

Essénce Satèn is a vintage Franciacorta Satèn made from pure Chardonnay grown in the vineyards behind the winery, on sedimentary limestone soil. Only must from pressing with a yield of no more than 30% is used, and vinification takes place entirely in steel to preserve varietal character. The wine ages at least 30 months on the lees in bottle.

Satèn, with its gentler pressure, gives a particularly silky, creamy mousse.
