Tasting notes

Straw yellow with a fine, persistent perlage. Pineapple, peach, citrus, biscuit and dried fruit on the nose, with lily of the valley. Soft and fresh on the palate, with an elegant saline edge.

About this wine

P.R. is Monte Rossa's Franciacorta Blanc de Blancs Brut, made from 100% Chardonnay drawn from 22 crus across the estate's 78 hectares. Its initials honour the founders, Paola Rovetta and Paolo Rabotti.

The base wines ferment in stainless steel and oak, and about 35% reserve wines join the current vintage. After the second fermentation it ages at least 24 months on the lees in the bottle.
