Tasting notes

Intense straw yellow with a rich, creamy mousse. The nose offers ripe yellow fruit, candied apricot, toasted bread and hazelnut from the long lees ageing. The palate is powerful and structured, balanced by precise acidity, with a taut, saline finish of great length.

About this wine

The Nature line of Guido Berlucchi gathers vintage Franciacorta with no added dosage, made for those who appreciate a complex yet pure style. '61 Nature Blanc de Blancs is produced entirely from Chardonnay grown in the Franciacorta hills of Lombardy, by the house that bottled the very first Franciacorta in 1961.

After the second fermentation in bottle the wine rests on its lees for at least five years, then a further six months after disgorgement, with zero dosage. This long ageing builds depth, creaminess and a remarkable capacity to evolve.

A rich, savoury Franciacorta DOCG with powerful structure balanced by precise acidity, ideal for the table rather than just the aperitivo.
