Tasting notes

Straw yellow with delicate coppery highlights and a fine perlage. The nose shows wild red berries, apple and pear with hints of spice and fresh green herbs. The palate is full-bodied and generous, well balanced and dry, with a long, aromatic finish.

About this wine

Mirabella, the family-run Franciacorta house founded in 1979 by the Schiavi family, dedicates this Demetra cuvée entirely to Pinot Noir. The 2018 vintage is a Brut Nature, released with no added dosage.

Only a small portion of the free-run must ferments in used oak barrels, with the rest in concrete vats. The wine then rests for at least 40 months on its lees in bottle and a further six months after disgorgement.

Full-bodied and generous yet perfectly dry, it shows the depth and character that Pinot Noir brings to Franciacorta.
