Tasting notes

Deep straw yellow with golden highlights and fine bubbles. The nose shows yeast, freshly baked bread, golden apple, banana and citrus zest. The palate is well balanced, with zesty acidity, a creamy mousse and a pleasantly bitter, lingering finish. Fresh, lively and versatile.

About this wine

Edea is the Blanc de Blancs of Mirabella, the family-run Franciacorta house founded in 1979, whose cellar in a former 1940s estate still uses its original concrete fermentation tanks.

It blends 80% Chardonnay with 20% Pinot Bianco from vines averaging 26 years. The must ferments entirely in concrete vats, and the wine ages at least 24 months on its lees in bottle before release as a Brut with no more than 5 g/l dosage.

Balanced and zesty, with a pleasantly bitter finish, it is a fresh and versatile Franciacorta.
