Tasting notes

Intense straw yellow with golden-pink highlights, an abundant mousse and a very fine perlage. The nose shows apricot, melon and candied orange peel, with notes of brioche and toasted almond. The palate is fresh, clean and structured, with lively minerality, a creamy texture and a long, elegant finish.

About this wine

"Palazzo Lana Extrême" is the Riserva of Guido Berlucchi made entirely from Pinot Nero, grown in two estate vineyards in Borgonato: Quindicipiò on the hillside and Brolo, facing the historic Palazzo Lana where the Franciacorta story began in 1961.

Only the finest fraction of the must is used. Part of the wine ages for six months in barriques on its lees before the second fermentation in bottle, after which the 2014 vintage rested on its lees for about ten years (115 months) and a minimum of six months after disgorgement. It is finished as an Extra Brut, and 16,026 bottles were produced.
