Tasting notes

Pale salmon pink with a fine, persistent perlage. Aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and citrus with a hint of bread crust. The palate is fresh and creamy, with lively acidity, delicate red-fruit flavours and a clean, elegant finish.

About this wine

In Franciacorta, the sparkling wine heartland of Lombardy near Lake Iseo, the Antinori family owns the Tenuta Montenisa estate at Calino, in the commune of Cazzago San Martino. Here the wines are made by the traditional method, with the second fermentation taking place in the bottle.

This Rosé Brut, signed with the Marchese Antinori name, is based on Pinot Nero with a share of Chardonnay. After a long period of ageing on the lees it is disgorged and finished as a Brut.

It combines the elegance and fine mousse of Franciacorta with a fragrant red-fruit character.
