Tasting notes

Pale gold. A seductive nose of citrus and white flowers, with light buttery and hazelnut notes from the barrel. The palate has excellent volume and concentration balanced by vibrant freshness, finishing long and harmonious.

About this wine

Les Champs Gain is one of the Premier Cru sites farmed by Domaine François Carillon, the Puligny-Montrachet estate founded in 2010 when François, sixteenth generation of a family of vine growers, divided the family property with his brother Jacques. The domaine works more than 16 hectares across Puligny, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin, including nine Premier Cru wines.

Made from 100% Chardonnay, the wine ferments in oak barrels, where it also completes malolactic fermentation. It then spends at least 12 months on its lees in barrel and around six further months to harmonise before bottling, and is kept in cool, dry cellars until release.
