Tasting notes

Straw yellow with golden-green hues. Pear, apricot, a touch of almond and wild flowers on the nose. Juicy, savoury and lively on the palate, where freshness and minerality complement each other through a long finish.

About this wine

Schiopetto is a winery in Capriva del Friuli founded in 1965 by Mario Schiopetto and run since 2014 by the Rotolo family. The vineyards grow on breezy hillsides on Eocene marl soils, the famous ponca of the Collio.

Friulano is the most traditional grape of the Collio Goriziano and was the winery's first wine, made back in 1965. After gentle pressing it is fermented in stainless steel and aged for eight months on its lees, with no sulphur dioxide added during settling.

Here it comes in a 1.5-litre Magnum, perfect for a festive table and for sharing with friends.
