Tasting notes

Pale gold with a fine, lively mousse. The nose opens with white flowers such as acacia and hawthorn, followed by ripe pear. On the palate peach, mirabelle plum and greengage come through, carried by clean, vibrant acidity and a crisp, low-dosage finish.

About this wine

Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne: its story began in 1584 in Aÿ, and since 2009 this independent house has been based in Épernay. This Extra Brut was the house's first non-vintage Champagne in the Extra Brut style, presented here in the festive Magnum format.

The blend combines Pinot Noir (45%), Chardonnay (32%) and Pinot Meunier (23%). The wine rests on its lees for about three years and receives a low dosage of 5 g/l, giving a pure, precise Champagne that lets the fruit speak, while the large bottle helps it age gracefully.
