Tasting notes

Elegant and expressive Pinot Gris with full yellow fruit, ripe pear and quince, a subtly spicy note and mineral freshness. Oak ageing gives a rounder texture and the finish is long and dry (3.6 g/L residual sugar).

About this wine

Emil Bauer is a family estate in Landau-Nußdorf, in the southern Pfalz, run by the Bauer family and known for modern, expressive wines with plenty of personality. This Grauburgunder Reserve is the estate's more serious take on Pinot Gris.

The 2025 is fermented dry and given time in oak barrels, which adds texture without hiding the fruit. Expect an elegant, expressive white with full yellow fruit, a subtly spicy edge, mineral freshness and a long finish.

Serve at 8–10°C with vegetable dishes, white meat or creamy poultry recipes.
