Tasting notes

Deep straw yellow with golden glints. The nose is fine and elegant, with ripe fruit followed by sweet notes of almond and custard. The palate is full and warm, with pear and quince, a fresh, intense finish and clear minerality.

About this wine

M is the top white wine of Schiopetto, the historic winery of Capriva del Friuli whose wines helped define the style of the Collio. It bears the name of founder Mario Schiopetto, one of the fathers of modern Italian white wine.

The Friulano grapes come from the estate's south-facing slope, and the wine is vinified in stainless steel to preserve purity and minerality. It is produced only in the best vintages, the first being 2015, and offers remarkable depth and ageing potential for a white wine.
