Tasting notes

Deep garnet. Aromas of black plum, cocoa, cedar and warm spice. The palate is full and velvety, with ripe dark fruit, softened tannins from long oak ageing and a smooth, lingering finish.

Villa Melnik lies in the Struma Valley near the village of Harsovo, the warmest wine area in Bulgaria, shaped by Mediterranean influence. Aplauz Premium Reserve is the winery's top line.

This Merlot from 2016 is now mature: black plum, cocoa, cedar and spice, with a full, velvety body and tannins softened by long oak ageing. A rich, rounded red with real depth.
